Diploma for Graduate

General

Diploma for Graduates is for graduates of a recognized university who

  • wish to acquire and demonstrate knowledge in a particular field or
  • use the diploma as a basis for progression into postgraduate study and whose first degree is in an unrelated field.

One full unit or the equivalent (either Foundation or Further unit)

1 One compulsory unit
Principles of banking & finance
Two units chosen from:
Investment management, Financial intermediation, Financial reporting, Corporate finance, Auditing and Valuation & securities analysis
One full unit or the equivalent (either Foundation or Further unit)

YEAR DIPLOMA IN FINANCE
1 One compulsory unit
Corporate finance
Two units chosen from:
Investment management, Financial intermediation, Financial reporting, Auditing and Valuation & securities analysis
One full unit or the equivalent (either Foundation or Further unit)

YEAR DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT

One compulsory unit
Introduction to business & management
Two units chosen from:
Microeconomics, Management science methods, Corporate finance, Human resource management, Management mathematics, Elements of social and applied psychology, Management accounting, Organisation theory, Information systems and organisations and Principles of marketing
One full unit or the equivalent (either Foundation or Further unit)


All structures are subject to confirmation in the University of London 2008-2009 Regulations. The Regulations also contain full details on the rules that govern the choice of any unit.

Note:

  • There are no prerequisites on the Diplomas for Graduates.
  • Students will not be permitted to transfer from the Diploma for Graduates to the related BSc or other degree.
  • Students may transfer between the different diplomas for Graduates.
  • Diplomas for Graduates will be classified as Distinction, Merit or Pass.
