Scholarships for Polytechnic (ACCA)

SAA collaborate with local Polytechnic with the objective of offering Polytechnic final-year student to upgrade themselves through programmes/courses sponsored by institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

NEW ACCA Student Member
Open to all local Polytechnic final-year students from any faculty
Applicants must fulfill the minimum qualification requirement set by ACCA, ie. cannot be a MSER student
Applicant’s combined monthly household income must be less than $3,000
Outstanding 5-6 semesters results of the diploma course
Good leadership and communications skills
Good Character records

Tenure and Value of the Scholarship Award

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The Scholarship covers tuition fees of ACCA and textbooks, revision kits and lecture materials 

Fundamentals Level : Knowledge Module   $1,320 ($440 x 3 subjects)
Fundamentals Level: Skills Module   $3,060 ($510 x 6 subjects)
Professional Level  :  Essentials   $1,740 ($580 x 3 subjects)
Professional Level  :  Options $1,160 ($580 x 2 subjects)
  $7, 280

The Scholarship is tenable for the duration of the scholars’ studies (up to three years), subject to outstanding academic performance.

No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship

Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship

Does not include ACCA revision classes
Does not include any student membership payment to ICPAS and ACCA (UK), (e.g. initial student membership registration fees, annual student membership subscription fees, exemption fees, examination fees, etc)
Does not cover the course fees, course materials, textbooks and revision kits for any paper(s) re-enrolled should the student fail the examination
Is non-transferable
Does not allow for deferment of classes.
Must pursue their studies leading to the ACCA qualification with SAA and are required to attend at least 95% of the course lectures. In event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances resulting in attendance of less than 95%, a medical certificate or an authorized letter specifying the reason will be required confirming the absence from class
Must complete the course within 3 years (ACCA)

Must act as the SAA Ambassador
- Present as marketing activities as required
- Write testimonials
- Appear in SAA promotions and advertisements

Adhere to all SAA regulations and requirements
SAA shall review the recipient’s performance at the end of each intake before the scholarship is renewed. ACCA scholar should pass at least 2 out of 3 papers half-yearly. Score at least 60 marks and above in all papers
SAA reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the scholarship at any time if, in its opinion, the recipient’s conduct or performance has not been satisfactory.
SAA reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions for awarding the scholarship at their sole discretion
The scholarship selection committee's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained. All successful applicants shall be informed by SAA by end May
