Scholarships for International Students

To attract and develop the best talents from overseas for the accountancy field, SAA is offering 2 full scholarships each for the CAT and ACCA programmes to full-time students from foreign countries. These qualifications serve students by launching their career in the accountancy industry and students will be nurtured towards becoming a CPA in Singapore.

Eligibility Criteria

NEW ACCA or CAT Student Member
Citizens of foreign countries.
Outstanding academic results
Good leadership and communications skills
Good Character records

**The scholarship is only for International Students who will hold on to SAA's full time student pass upon successful selection. Interested applicants who are currently working in their home countries are also welcome to apply for the scholarship. In the event if the applicant is selected, he/she will need to apply for SAA's student pass to come into Singapore as a Full-time student pass holder.

Tenure and Value of the Scholarship Award

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The Scholarship covers tuition fees of ACCA and textbooks, revision kits and lecture materials 

Fundamentals Level : Knowledge Module   $1,320 ($440 x 3 subjects)
Fundamentals Level: Skills Module   $3,060 ($510 x 6 subjects)
Professional Level  :  Essentials   $1,740 ($580 x 3 subjects)
Professional Level  :  Options $1,160 ($580 x 2 subjects)

The Scholarship is tenable for the duration of the scholars’ studies (up to three years), subject to outstanding academic performance.

Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)

Introductory Level $    620 ($310 x 2 subjects)
Intermediate Level  $    760 ($380 x 2 subjects)
Advanced Level $2, 250 ($450 x 5 subjects)

The Scholarship is tenable for the duration of the scholars’ studies (up to one and a half years), subject to outstanding academic performance.

No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship

Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship

Does not include ACCA revision classes
Does not include any student membership payment to ICPAS and ACCA (UK), CAT(S) Ltd. (e.g. initial student membership registration fees, annual student membership subscription fees, exemption fees, examination fees, etc)
Does not cover the course fees, course materials, textbooks and revision kits for any paper(s) re-enrolled should the student fail the examination.
Is non-transferable
Does not allow for deferment of classes.
Must pursue their studies leading to the ACCA or CAT qualification with SAA and are required to attend at least 95% of the course lectures. In event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances resulting in attendance of less than 95%, a medical certificate or an authorized letter specifying the reason will be required confirming the absence from class
Must complete the course within 3 years (ACCA) and 1.5 years (CAT)

Must act as the SAA Ambassador
- Present as marketing activities as required
- Write testimonials
- Appear in SAA promotions and advertisements

Adhere to all SAA and ICA regulations and requirements
SAA shall review the recipient’s performance at the end of each intake before the scholarship is renewed.
- ACCA scholar should pass at least 2 out of 3 papers half-yearly. Score at least 60 marks and above in all papers
- CAT scholar should score at least 80 marks for Introductory Level, 70marks for Intermediate Level and 60 marks for Advanced Level
SAA reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the scholarship at any time if, in its opinion, the recipient’s conduct or performance has not been satisfactory.
