ICPAS PE is a qualifying examination for graduates with a recognised university Degree in Accountancy or Commerce, Business Administration, Management, Banking and Finance or Economics with a major in accounting or related subjects; whose qualifications do not meet the direct entry requirements of ICPAS membership.
All assessment and examination matters with regards to ICPAS PE will be handled by ICPAS with the exception of preparatory course. The preparatory course is optional and will be conducted by the training arm of ICPAS, SAA Global Education (GE) Centre Pte Ltd (formerly known as Singapore Accountancy Academy). The course is available to help PE candidates to prepare for the examinations.
Initial Assessment Applications
Interested applicants who would like to sit for ICPAS PE must submit their application online to ICPAS via www.icpas.org.sg/pe.asp for assessment to be approved on a case-by-case basis by the Board of Education and Examination (BOEE).
Generally, approved candidates are required to do 5 ICPAS PE modules with no exemption. Exception is, some approved candidates might be required to do qualifying subjects (in addition to the 5 ICPAS PE modules) recommended by the BOEE with ICPAS approved course providers, after assessing their qualifications. The qualifying subjects are those as listed on the core subjects’ requirements matching form on the online application form.
Applicants have to pay a non-refundable assessment application fee of S$168 (including of GST) to ICPAS. All applications are required to be supported with documents in English; otherwise an official English translated version has to be provided.
The supporting documents required include:
- NRIC / Passport / Citizenship Certificate / Documentary proof of Singapore Permanent Resident e.g. Re-entry Permit.
- Degree Scroll(s)
- Diploma Scroll (if any)
- Degree Programme Course Outline
- Official Transcript(s) - All relevant academic records from Diploma onwards
- Marking / Grading Scheme (for the results reflected in the transcript(s))
- Results of GMAT attended (if any)
- Professional Membership Certificates (if any)
- Core Subjects Requirements – Preliminary Matching Form

Candidates who have successfully passed all examinations will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion by ICPAS.
