The Withdrawal Policies and Procedures apply to students who wish to withdraw from SAA-GE.
Transferring to another institution is deemed as a withdrawal from SAA-GE. As such, for international students who transfer to another institution they should be aware that their International Student’s Pass will be cancelled. These students will have to submit their passport and International Student’s pass within 3 working days of the transfer. Record of attendance and any other relevant documentation required for the transfer will be provided upon request.
Withdrawal With Cause
100% of tuition fee paid (less S$100 admin fee) are refundable under any of the following conditions:
- Student’s Pass application is rejected by the ICA.
- SAA-GE fails, for any reasons, to start the course on the commencement date.
- SAA-GE terminates the course, for any reason, prior to the course commencement date
- SAA-GE fails, for any reasons, to complete the course by the completion date except those that are caused by the students themselves, such as, deferment, re-sit, re-module, et al.
- SAA-GE terminates the course for any reason prior to the completion of the course.
- SAA-GE is in material breach of its obligations under this Agreemen
Withdrawal Without Cause
If you withdraw for any reason other than those set out above (Cooling-Off Period, With Cause), the following refund percentages apply (less S$100 admin fee):
- 100% of the aggregate amount of the course fees paid when student’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the School more than 60 days before the course commencement date.
- 75% of the aggregate amount of the course fees paid when student’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the School between 30 to 60 days before the course commencement date.
- 50% of the aggregate amount of the course fees paid when student’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the School less than 30 days to 1 day before the course commencement date.
- 25% of the aggregate amount of the course fees paid when student’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the School within 7 days after the course commencement date.
- No refund when student’s written notice of withdrawal is received by the School more than 7 days after the course commencement date.
All other reasons will be considered on a case by case basis. For all other reasons, students will be informed within 5 working days of SAA-GE receipt of Course Request Form, with supporting documents. SAA-GE will consider the following as grounds for request to withdrawal: hospitalization, pregnancy, medical reasons as certified by a Singapore registered doctor; overseas assignments of more than 2 months duration; emergency reservist service of more than 2 weeks; heavy work commitment certified by the company; exemption; unsuccessful application for renewal of student pass.
In instances where students have registered for a module or unit which following the examination results release they can no longer continue due to pre-requisites or progression rules the following will apply:
- CAT/ACCA – either transfer to a revision class or a 50% refund.
- University of London – transfer to appropriate class.
In such circumstances students will have to submit the examination results slip. All such requests must be made within 1 month of the release of the examination results.
ACCA/CAT Graduates. claim refund for ACCA option papers, SAA-GE will give a 50% refund on submission of examination results slip.
All requests for withdrawal must be made in writing with the relevant documentation.
Local students
- Students must notify in writing by filling up the Course Request Form or send an email to acca@saa.org.sg/ cat@saa.org.sg, attach notice of withdrawal in writing giving a valid reason and proper documentation and submit to SAA-GE Services Office.
- Where a student is below the age of 18, the school requires a formal letter of consent from the student’s parents/guardians before processing the application.
International students
- Students must notify in writing by filling up the Course Request Form, or send an email to intl@saa.org.sg, attach notice of withdrawal in writing giving a valid reason and proper documentation and submit to SAA-GE Services Office.
- Where a student is below the age of 18, the school requires a formal letter of consent from the student’s parents/guardians before processing the application.
- Staff-in-charge will arrange to interview the student to find out reasons for withdrawal. The staff-in-charge will provide some counseling to the student so that the student will decide if he/she wants to continue to study or proceed for withdrawal.
- During the interview session, students will be advised on the relevant refund policy based on the reason submitted. At the same time, the student will be reminded that the withdrawal will terminate the student contract and hence he/she will no longer be a student of SAA-GE.
- Student to cancel the membership if he/she is permanently discontinuing the ACCA/CAT/ATTS programme.
- Student’s Pass will be terminated through ICA SOLAR+ e-cancellation facility and students will be issued a Notification of Cancellation by ICA and SAA-GE. Students are advised to leave Singapore before expiry date of the visa.
- Students who wish to transfer to other institutions have to complete the above mentioned withdrawal procedures before the attendance is given.
