Refund Policy and Procedures

Our Refund Policy is governed by the Student Contract and includes withdrawals within the "Cooling-Off Period", "With Cause" or "Without Cause".

Cooling-Off Period
Students have the right to cancel their contract with SAA-GE, without cause, within 7 working days of signing the PEI Student Contract. Such notice of cancellation must be in writing. Students may use the form provided in Schedule 3 of the Standard Student Contract. In such circumstances, students will be entitled to the maximum refund under SAA’s Refund Policy.

In the event that the withdrawal date is later than the Course Commencement Date and the student has started the course, the refund will be the maximum amount less any course fee consumed.

Refund Policy

Percentage of the aggregate amount of the course fee paid

If Student’s written notice of withdrawal is received:

100% (less $100 administrative fee)

More than 60 days before the course commencement date

75%

Between 30 to 60 days before the course commencement date

50%

Less than 30 days to 1 day before the course commencement date

25%

After, but no more than 7 days after the course commencement date

0%

More than 7 days after the course commencement date

  • Application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • ICA Processing Fee is non-refundable when an application for student’s pass is submitted to ICA for consideration.
  • Student Development Fee will be refunded in full to student in the following events:
    • Cancellation of course by SAA-GE.
    • Student’s written notice of withdrawal is received before commencement of classes.
  • Student Development Fee will not be refunded for all withdrawals after commencement of classes or transfer out of SAA.
  • Fee Protection Scheme (Insurance) and Medical Insurance Premium will be refunded in full (after deducting administrative charge) to the student in the following events:
    • Cancellation of course by SAA.
    • Student’s written notice of withdrawal is received before commencement of classes.
    • Application for Student’s Pass Renewal is not successful.
    • International student applicant declines to accept SAA-GE offer to begin his/her course and does not enter Singapore.
  • Fee Protection Scheme (Insurance) premium will be refunded partially (subject to premium refund quantum) for withdrawals and transferring out of SAA-GE after commencement of classes.
  • No refund of Medical Insurance Premium will be issued for withdrawals and transferring out of SAA after commencement of classes.
  • Cost of books is refundable if the books returned are in original condition.

Note: All application fee, sponsorship administrative fee, other miscellaneous fee and applicable bank administrative charges are not refundable.

Refund Procedures

  • All refund requests must be made in writing and students have to complete the Application for Refund Form.
  • It takes 7 working days to process the refund request upon receipt of the necessary documents.
  • All requests for refunds arising from withdrawals and change of course must be accompanied with the original fully completed hardcopy of Course Request Form with relevant supporting documentary proof.
  • Refund will be based on the remaining number of unconsumed intake(s)/semester(s)/ module(s) from the date (of notice) of withdrawal in accordance to the stipulated timeline prior to the commencement of the next intake/semester as drawn out in the Refund Policy.
  • No refund will be given for modules that have already completed and/or have commenced within any given semester.
  • Students with medical conditions or having genuine financial difficulties must support their claims with official documentary evidence to SAA-GE for consideration. Any decision relating to refund of tuition fee arising from withdrawal shall be made at the sole discretion of SAA-GE and that shall be final. Upon which, the student concerned shall be informed in writing of SAA-GE’s decision.
  • In all instances, including where payment was made via bank loans or credit card installment plans, the refund will be made by cheque. 
  • A crossed cheque will be issued under the student’s name according the school’s records.
  • Where a student wishes the cheque to be made out to a third party the student must complete the course request form giving the details of the third party.
The student will be required to collect the cheque personally from the school.  Where a student authorizes a third party to collect the cheque on their behalf the third party will be required to complete the acknowledgement form.
