SAA Global Education is going through a transition period from Case Trust to EduTrust Certification Scheme regulated by the Council of Private Education (CPE) and has put in place few mandatory requirements by EduTrust which include Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance coverage for all students.
Fee Protection Scheme
FPS is applicable to ALL students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes, i.e. dependant’s passes, student’s pass, work permit etc). It’s compulsory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a Student Contract when they enroll for courses with any Private Education Institution (PEI). SAA has adopted Insurance Protection Scheme with Lonpac Insurance Bhd, one of the CPE-appointed service providers.
Insurance premium for local students is $25 (inclusive of GST) is payable upon enrolment and valid for 1 year for total tuition fee of $2,500 or less.
Insurance premium for international students varies from course enrolled and is payable upon student’s pass approval and valid for full duration of the student’s pass.
The insurance certificate will be sent to your email address directly. Kindly approach us if you do not receive the certificate. At the same time, you can also check CPE’s official website at www.cpe.gov.sg to verify your protection under FPS.
Medical Insurance
It is compulsory for ALL students to have medical insurance coverage for hospitalization and related medical treatment for the entire course duration. SAA has adopted Group Medical Insurance provided by AXA.
The annual insurance premium on compulsory basis for international students is $48.15 (inclusive of GST).
There are exemptions for Singaporean/PR students if they are already covered by their own medical insurance plan. However, if local students wish to opt in for medical insurance, the annual insurance premium is $48.15 (inclusive of GST).
