The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore(ICPAS) is the partner of the ACCA/ICPAS Joint Professional Examination Scheme (JES). As the national professional body for the accounting profession, ICPAS ensures that accountants in Singapore conduct themselves in a professional manner according to the regulations spelt out by the regulatory body, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
This is where the joint scheme comes into play where ICPAS works closely with ACCA to ensure the syllabus meets both ACRA and ICPAS's membership requirements. That enables JES graduates to be "Certified Public Accountants Singapore". The JES has been successfully run by ICPAS and ACCA since 1983 and thousands of JES students have graduated and gone on to rewarding careers.
The ACCA qualification is a highly relevant, targeted combination of study and practical experience. The syllabus is the result of extensive research and consultation with governments, students, colleges and employers from a range of public and private sector organisations.
ACCA is recognised and respected across the world, and currently has 240,000 students and 105,000 members in 170 countries.
Graduates from the ACCA/ICPAS
JES programme will be eligible to apply for ICPAS membership and ACCA membership with ACCA (UK) upon
completion of the requisite work experience.
