Edith Quek, MBA, BBA

Educational Qualification

Ms Edith Quek graduated from NUS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She also did her MBA with the University of Strathclyde, UK. Ms Quek has also a Diploma for Teachers and Trainers with Distinction with the University of Cambridge

Lecturing Experience

Ms Edith Quek has more than 23 years of teaching experience in accounting, management and marketing. She has an extensive working experience in administration, marketing and accounting in the education industry.

Ms Gan Bee Eng, FCA, CPA

Educational Qualification

Ms Gan Bee Eng is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the Institute of Certified Public Account of Singapore (ICPAS).

Professional Experience

Ms Gan held various positions in banking and investment management companies.

Ms Gan is involved in lecturing Accounting and Management courses with SAA-GE since1989.

Ms Lee Yuet Lai, BAcc, CPA Singapore 

Education Qualification

Ms Lee Yuet Lai graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) and an Accredited Tax Advisor with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP).

Professional Experience

Ms Lee was a tax practitioner with one of the Big 4 international accounting firm. She has more than 10 years of tax experience and had served many notable clients. She was also an in-house tax advisor to a MNC before she embarked on her teaching career.

Lecturing Experience

Throughout her professional career, Ms Lee had been actively involved in training and conducting seminars for both internal and external clients. She was involved in tax training for the tax and audit professionals whilst she was with the international accounting firm. She spoke in external seminars including Budget and Banking seminars.  With her vast experience as a tax practitioner and her experience in the industry, Ms Lee is able to bring depth to her teaching by sharing her invaluable practical experiences with her students.

Ms Lee specializes in the teaching of Taxation.  She is currently teaching the following subject specialization – Paper F6 for ACCA, FIA – Foundation in Taxation and Corporate Tax for Association of Taxation Technicians Singapore (ATTS) – Specialist Certificate in Taxation.

Ms Lee is the author of ACCA Paper F6 Taxation and FIA, Foundation in Taxation – Study Text and Revision Kit, published by SAA-GE.

Ms Foo graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and attained an MBA. She is also a member of CPA Singapore. 

Ms Foo has more than 14 years of industry experience.

Ms Foo has more than 6 years of lecturing experience in accounting subjects. 

Mr Nageb studied in the UK and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (this is equivalent to a honours degree). Mr Nageb also holds a Masters in Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, UK.  His thesis was on Strategic Business Plan of a medium size private institution.

Professional Experience

Mr Nageb started his career in the banking industry assisting the sub-manager in operational and strategic issues.  Later he moved into education.  After a brief period of lecturing Nageb was promoted to Head of Business Studies managing about 30 faculty members and 2000 students. As Head he introduced many new products that were required by the industry. He was heavily involved in the running of the department and co-ordinated extensively with top management in implementing strategic directions.

Later Mr Nageb was promoted as Director. In this strategic position Mr Nageb crafted the direction for the organisation to move forward.  His experience enabled him to introduced new products and improved existing ones to serve the needs of every changing industry.  He worked closely with top management of his business partners to position his organisation as a clear differentiator from competitors.

Mr Nageb's experience extends to international business where he was instrumental in taking his organisation to China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia. He worked closely with his overseas principals in appointing agents, granting licensing and engaging in joint ventures.

In summary Mr Nageb has extensive business experience which enables him to develop budding leaders to face the uncertainties of a frantically changing world economy.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Nageb started lecturing since 1976. In total Mr Nageb has 30 years of lecturing experience. He now specialises in lecturing ACCA courses, which he has been lecturing for the past 27 years, in F1, Accountant in Business and P3, Business Analysis.

He also lectures at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), University of London, B.Sc progrmme since 1991.  Apart from these Mr Nageb lectures at the Masters level.  The university has appointed him to be the examiner and marker. Nageb lectures Management related disciplines such as Organisational Behaviour and International Business.

Top Positions Achieved by Students

Over the years Mr Nageb has consistently produced ACCA students who won top prizes since 1977. This top accolades are both World and Singapore rankings. Some of his achievements are: 96 & 90 marks for Managing People and Systems; Top student in 1.3 Managing People; Gold & Silver Medallist for the ACCA examinations.

In addition Mr Nageb also develops students who achieve first-class-honours consistently for the University of London examinations.

Others

Mr Nageb is well known for preparing lucid mindmaps which aid students to understand, remember and apply concepts and theories during their examinations. Mr Nageb's easy style of lecturing and with the injection of his vast business experience in class lectures makes attending his classes a joy and an experience.

R Veeramani   CPA, MBA (Finance)

Educational Qualification

Mr Veeramani graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lincoln UK and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University. He is also a CPA Singapore.

Professional Experience

Mr Veeramani has more than 10 years of experience in Auditing and Accounting fields covering external auditing, internal auditing, finance and management accounting both in the public and private sectors.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Veeramani has been lecturing on a full-time and part-time basis for the past 10 years in many institutions.

He has lectured in University of London Degree Programmes, ACCA and Diploma Programmes and in Junior Colleges in the area of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Management.

He has undertaken extensive research on Islamic Banking in Singapore and has contributed many articles to newsletters on issues challenging today’s accountants and finance professionals.

Tan Cher Keow   BSc, DipEd

Educational Qualification

Mr Tan graduated with a Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma from the National University of Singapore.

Professional Experience

Mr Tan used to be a programmer in MINDEF and a teacher in the Ministry of Education (MOE). He is currently the Technical Manager for a Research and Development company that specializes in automation.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Tan has been an ACCA and CAT lecturer in SAA Global Education since 1989. He was previously lecturing a Master’s Programme in computerized accounting information systems and quantitative methods at a private school. He also specializes in quantitative methods and information technology.

Tan Soo Phay Eric   CPA Singapore

Educational Qualification

Mr Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with ICPAS.

Professional Experience

Mr Tan has more than 13 years of experience in public accounting with a Big 4 international accounting firm. He was selected to participate in the global development program with its Global Office in New York for 2 years. Mr Tan was also actively involves in the internal quality control reviews and inspection process. He performed forensic file reviews for Singapore, Malaysia and China offices on several audit engagements.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Tan has years of experience in conducting in-house seminars on accounting, audit and risk management topics. He was voted best trainer in 2007 and has been invited to conduct in-house seminar in Xiamen for the China office. He conducted numerous external seminars on specific financial reporting standards and also changes and updates to the financial reporting standards to the public, and also to members of the Singapore branch of CPA Australia, and the ICPAS. Since January 2009, Mr Tan has been lecturing part-time in the Nanyang Business School of the Nanyang Technological University and SAA Global Education.

Wildy Chia  ACCA Affiliate

Educational Qualification

Mr Chia is an affiliate of the ACCA (UK) and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Manchester Business School.

Professional Experience

Upon completion of his ACCA studies, Mr Chia started his career in audit where he accumulated work experience in various areas of audit work.
 
After which, he joined the lecturing profession where he spent much of his time teaching accounting at a leading local private institute. He was also actively involved in the development of course material and preparation of examination papers.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Chia taught at various local private institutes for the past few years and he lectured mainly accounting and finance subjects for diploma, advanced diploma and undergraduate level programmes.

He was also involved in the teaching of the LCCI diploma in accounting programme. His students include those from various parts of East Asia.

Wilson Aw  BBA, MBA, M BUS(Acct'g), CMA CPA (Australia)

Educational Qualification

Mr Aw attained a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Master in Business Administration and Master in Business (Accounting). He is also a Certified Member of CPA Australia and member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA).

Professional Experience

Mr Aw has 20 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer with several multi-national companies. His responsibilities include financial control, shipping, tax planning and general management.

Lecturing Experience

Mr Aw teaches financial accounting, management accounting, finance and other accounting related subjects at both the Bachelor and Masters programmes offered by Curtin University, Wollongong University, University of Wales, University of Western Sydney, Lester University and University of Ottawa. He also taught the ACCA, AAT, CAT, ABE and UOL programmes for several years.

Yeo Ai Ling   BCom, GDEM, TESOL

Educational Qualification

Ms Yeo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She also attained a Graduate Diploma, E-Commerce Marketing with Certificate of Commendation. She also completed TESOL. Ms Yeo is currently pursuing an MBA for Financial Managers and Finance Professionals from Manchester Business School, UK.

Professional Experience

Ms Yeo worked for a multinational corporation handling international projects, business analysis and market research and was required to design training materials and conduct in-house training to local and overseas subsidiaries.

Lecturing Experience

For 7 years now, Ms Yeo has been lecturing Finance and Accounting subjects to diploma and undergraduate level international students from China, Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar and Mongolia. Ms Yeo also teaches English as a second language to foreigners.
